Walkabout Ministries - The Reverend Gloria Shipp

Annual Gatherings:

Christian Rally Weekend: held in Holy Trinity Church
Hall. Attended by people from all denominations and from near and far.

Men’s Camp: A weekend event with campfire gathering, sharing stories of each other’s culture and spiritual awareness, cultural dance and artifacts. 
  
Women’s Camp:  A weekend event of renewing the spirit within. Guest speakers, craft, pampering and sharing stories, Aboriginal healing dance and smoking ceremony. 
Women sharing their knowledge and culture. Bush church service held on the Sunday morning of the weekend.
 
Elders outreach group:  meets every Tuesday during the school terms, in Holy Trinity Hall.  The Elders have guest speakers during the year as well as visits from health professionals and a massage therapist.  Besides  fellowship they also enjoy craft, sewing and day trips. They are provided with morning tea and lunch each week.

Reconciliation Luncheon: held in September at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall.
 
Outreach/ Rally in other Communities.
 
Women of the Bible study afternoon.  Who are they and how they relate to women of today.

Social Gatherings and Fellowship:

Women’s Dinners: are held on a Tuesday evening once a month starting at 6.30pm at Holy Trinity Church Hall. Each lady brings a meal to share. These evenings provide fellowship and outreach to women in the community and are attended by both regular and non-church attendants. During the dinner there is prayer and sharing time.  We also have guest speakers throughout the year. 

Our Gatherings and Fellowship are open to both Aboriginal and
Non-Aboriginal people.

 
Chaplaincy services: are provided at the Orana Juvenile Justice Centre with Gloria working in the centre 2 days a week as well as holding Sunday services at the Centre once a month and on other significant days.
